The Maluti Mountain Lodge offers accommodation in 10 standard rooms, 6 luxury rooms, 4 thatched rondawels and 4 luxury suites for families - all en suite. The honeymoon suite is a really special place for that all important and romantic night. Here, overlooking the quaint village of Clarens, guests experience the rare pleasure of the true country quality and hospitality, well known to this secluded enclave of the Malutis, where guests very soon feel at home in the cosy and friendly atmosphere of this unique mountain retreat. The lodge has two conference venues, able to host 200 day-delegates and up to 50 overnight delegates. All equipment is provided, as well as breakaway rooms, while delegates are given exclusive use of the bar facilities in the Duck and Hound Restaurant. Meals are served in both the Duck and Hound and the Highland Grill restaurants

The Clarens farmers grow some of the country’s finest export fresh produce - and the herb garden on the premises allows the chef to prepare magnificent, robust country fare which has become legendary in the area.

In the winter months, venison, warthog, guineafowl, wild duck and pheasent make an exciting addition to the menu.

Accommodation

The Maluti Mountain Lodge offers accommodation in 8 Standard Rooms, 3 Thatched Rondawels and 10 Luxury Suites for families - all en suite.

The rooms have DSTV, tea and coffee making facilities, as well as heaters and electric blankets for the cold winter months. Balconies on each of the rooms provide the opportunity to relax at sundown in the summer months.
Most of the rooms have breathtaking views of the mountains and the Lodge gardens are the perfect place for the children to safely explore and play. The swimming pool (the only one in Clarens) and lapa offer a wonderful setting for sociable braais.

The Maluti Restaurant offers guests a choice of fine country cousine while children are catered for with a special childrens menu.
There is also a pub on the premises with a big screen tv so you can enjoy the sport.
To top it all, sundowners on the balcony overlooking the Maluti Mountains are a must for everyone!

Conference

The Maluti Mountain Lodge offers one of the finest conference venues.
The facilities can cater for up to 35 delegates and up to 60 overnight delegates sharing.
All the equipment necessary to run a professional and efficient conference is readily available, as well as outstanding breakaway facilities.

Meals are served either in the Restaurant or in the Lapa.
The Maluti Mountain Lodge will cater for any reasonable request, to meet the demands and requirements of the conference clients.

Directions

From Bloemfontein: Take the N1 North. At Winburg, take the N5 to Bethlehem. In Bethlehem, follow the route to Harrismith, but look out for the R711 turn-off to the right. This will lead you to Clarens. From Johannesburg: Take the N3 South to Harrismith. Leave the toll road for Villiers and follow this route: Frankfort, Tweeling, Reitz and then Bethlehem. In Bethlehem, follow the route to Harrismith, but look out for the R711 turn-off to the right. This will lead you to Clarens. From Durban: Take the N3 North to Harrismith. Go West to Bethlehem. Just before Bethlehem, take the R711 turn-off to the left. This will lead you to Clarens.
